Craegmoor is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist care, covering needs such as learning disabilities, mental health problems, physical disabilities, and nursing care for older people. They operate over 350 care homes, supported living units, specialist colleges and independent hospitals.

The main drivers behind the project were to replace manual processes and adhoc IT environment, chosen methodology was an integrated best of breed solutions. 

The decision to use a best of breed methodology for solving their IT needs was driven by the need to purchase a healthcare specific ERP solution. As a consequence Craegmoor chose six additional business process specific solutions but was left with the need to integrate these fundamentally different applications.

During the engagement over 30 individual integrations/interfaces were identified mostly linking the ERP solution as the master system.

After investigating the data and application integration market Craegmoor chose Ridgian and the Cast Iron Router to integrate their applications.
